I have an idea for implementing team attacks.
First of all, all participants should be in the same crew.
Second, all crew members must reach a concensus as to how their team attack is carried out
Finally, the crew's current leader should create the topic in the technique forum.

i kinow this idea is still rough, and i aknowledge that it will probably need some tweaking.

hmmm i was thinking either the captain of a crew could send out a PM to their crew members and see what their roles should be to implement the attack

either that or at the beginning of the toppic the captain places each position for attack/defence on the first toppic

i.e. (we shall use the flame skull pirates for this

Jomei - main capabilities are full frontal attack.
so Jomei dives in to kick everyones ass

Sumaru - Main capabilities range and repair
Durring battle it would be difficult to maintain both trates so back up fire could be used for offence or repair for defence

Xyos - main capabilities iemobilisation and range
durring the battle using lightning abilities to iemobilise the opponents and jomei could take them out or sumaru bombard them. alternativle fillet them like a good steak Razz


something to that effect i asume

i think you misunderstood what i meant under team attacks.
i will give an example using the flame skulls again.
be aware that im ignoring godmode rules for the sake of convenience in this example.

jomei (as legion calls xyos for a team attack)
xyos electrifies legion's scythe
legion strikes the enemy with this electrified scythe.
thus they both worked together for a single attack.
this is what i mean with a team attack.

Ahem if i can say something sumaru it might be better to have devil fruits with contracting powers like lightning and rubber to be unable to power each other up but other one that would work together like anything with the door-door fruit could do a team attack.

Yea but the door door wouldnt be able to say add a lethal effect to other devil fruits.

Although the door door could open allowing (lets say lightning) thrown through. But the doir openinf would be a tll tale sign and give an oponent time to react to the attack

ah indeed however you would need to be sur of the location of the target and again that door opening would still give away that omething is about to happen.

I say that all cooperation techniques only be allowed if one devil fruit power indirectly affects another one, like the door door fruit example. Like you said Sumaru, devil fruit powers cannot directly affect another's, so how about the effects of that specific ability pave a path or support another added on to that one. Ex. you use your seed bullets and I use burst to make them speed even faster. Also, if this does come to be approved as an RP-able tactic, we should split them up into certain groups based on the "supporting" effect and how it changes the main effect (supporting would be my burst since it alters the attack intended to deal the actual damage to the target, so seed bullet=main). In that case, the "Burst Seed" would be classified as a speed enhancement, the door door example above would be accuracy enhancement and so on.

Well, I have something to say too. When I read this toppic I noticed how everyone keeps going on about the use of Devil Fruit Powers in team attacs. That's nice and all, but what about characters who don't have them? Don't they get to play? I can understand that the main focus lies on Devil Fruit powers since almost every character on this forum has them except for those of Mara and I, but the way you guys formulate it kinda suggests that it's already decided to be for Devil Fruit users only. And I kinda feel left out. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Ah good point

Team attacks with non-devil fruit users would also be an issue. Although complementary attacks for the non-devil fruit users would,be much easier to harmonise (as they could compkiment each other more effectivly) they could also become majourly deadly if used in combinition.

I guess I was just distracted... Yeah I guess normal team attacks would be problematic, but would seem to be less of an issue. If it becomes an OP attack, that's obviously a hint that something's wrong, and since normal people don't have any powers, I would think that only two purely physical objects would be capable of team attacking, which takes out the fuss from the issue of let's say one power combining attributes with another power. I guess I'll just ride it out and see if any issues pop up... And thanks for bringing up that subject, it's a good topic to cover while we're here Razz
